Meet Kerry! Owner and main entertainer at Come To My Party!
Come To My Party was founded in 2008 by myself Kerry Jay.
An entertainer all my life, I was constantly asked to entertain children at friends parties and after moving to Oxfordshire and starting a family, founding Come To My Party seemed an obvious next move.
I started my career as a professional dancer and singer and ‘trod the boards’ in London’s West End in shows such as Chicago, We Will Rock You, Follies, Les Miserables and Grease; as well as working commercially for artists such as Sugababes, Jamiroqui, Blue, Brian Adams, and Groove Armada and many many more in videos and tours. I have also been a dance teacher for 15 years.
Fully CRB checked with Public Liability Insurance, I love working with children and seem to be able to captivate their attention! So sit down and enjoy the party whilst I entertain the children!
I am also an experienced balloon twister and am now going bigger and better with my designs! As a lover of crafting but limited time on my hands, balloons have been a great outlet for creativity with big results in a short time! Be sure to check out the balloon pages!
Over the last couple of years I have also been developing my magic skills and have created my kid’s magic show. It is the newest part of my skill set but I am having a fantastic time developing the show and my new skills and I am so happy with the success of the magic show over the last year or so!
I work closely with the charity Spread A Smile where we visit children in hospital bed to bed on the wards and also virtually via Zoom. We entertain with magic, stories, singing, guitar, and balloon twisting. It is a wonderful charity to work for and so rewarding meeting the amazing children and their families.
I believe in continuing to learn and develop my skills which is why each year I attend regular kids entertainer, balloon twisting and decor, and magic conventions and events where I interact with other top performers and we share skills. This enables me to provide up to date and relevant performances to today’s audiences and to learn and grow as a kid’s entertainer. I believe it is important to invest in my craft and also it has the advantage of a great network of other top performers I can recommend if I am unavailable.
As an entertainer I have been performing for most of my life – it isn’t just what I do it is who I am! I can’t wait to bring my love of entertaining to your event!!
The Team
We have had other entertainers on the team in the past with some fantastically talented performers. Since 2020 however with our performers going in new directions as a consequence of the pandemic and with new opportunities, we have changed the way the parties run slightly and currently it is just myself ( Kerry) on the team. I do however work closely with other artists and performers, and if a party requires more or different entertainers I am in a great position to be able to source, contact and recommend the very best. Pictured on the left are the very talented Louise from the Party Poppers and the legendary Tony Twist who I am lucky enough to work on many projects with.
Saying that, we are always on the look out for experienced entertainers to join the team or to work with. We keep the team small to guarantee the absolute best experience for clients, so need entertainers who are not just fantastic at performing but also smiley, bubbly and very importantly reliable!
Performers also need to be able to drive with access to a car.
